Graham Diedrich is an interdisciplinary social scientist with a strong focus on sustainable resource governance, energy policy, and community resilience. He brings over five years of experience blending data science with real-world and community-informed applications. Graham integrates community engagement and science communication into his work, fostering partnerships with local, state, and federal government agencies to promote long-lasting solutions.

Graham is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Political Science at the University of Michigan. His research focuses on the politics of renewable energy–where, how, and why projects are built, and how on-the-ground factors, institutional capacity, and public engagement shape their development and impact.

In addition to his graduate studies, Graham has held research appointments at the Smithsonian Institution, U.S. Department of Energy, and University of Michigan Graham Sustainability Institute. He is also a 2024 U.S. Fulbright recipient, working on policy solutions aimed at fostering a more sustainable planet.
