The Coastal Ecology Center Gallery reopens for the season with Awash, a pair of exhibitions on display through July 20. In the front room, local artist, student, and educator Suzanne Demeo’s sublime watercolors of seaweed and the intertidal zone are sure to please. In the back gallery, marine debris scavenged from Portland’s Back Cove becomes colorful, courageous art in the hands of high school students from STEM charter school Baxter Academy.
