Join naturalist Jeff Adams for a guided walk to uncover the vibrant world of wildflowers. Learn key identification tips along with the natural history, folklore, and surprising uses of local native plants. Maybe we’ll discover why it’s called a dandelion, learn about a flower believed to ward off witches, and meet the plant that’s been healing wounds for over 60,000 years. We’ll also spotlight a few curious and notable plants along the way. This program is appropriate for ages 16 and older.

About the Presenter
Jeff Adams is an avid outdoor enthusiast & naturalist who’s been enjoying the natural world for 50 years. He’s a member of the Wells Reserve, Friends of the Fells, The Trustees, Mass Audubon, Sudbury Valley Trustees, Acton Conservation Trust, Arlington Land Trust, Essex Greenbelt, Massachusetts Association of Conservation Commissions, Lincoln Land Conservation Trust and Rural Land Foundation and The Massachusetts Archaeological Society, Inc. He and his wife, Carol Andrulli, have been hiking in the Fells for over 30 years & frequently participate in numerous hiking/nature programs.
