Let’s Talk about Climate Change: Strategies for communicating with family, neighbors, and decision-makers
Speakers: Jessica Brunacini (Training and Engagement Director, Wells Reserve), Liv Lenfestey (Resilience Training Coordinator, Wells Reserve), Nik Charov (President, Laudholm Trust), and special guests from UNH’s PowerPlay
Whether at the dinner table, on the beach, or in a town meeting, talking about climate change can be a challenge. But it doesn’t have to be confusing or contentious! Please join us to learn best practices for communicating in a non-partisan way about why our communities should prepare for a changing world and how they can do it. Guest speakers will share insights into what’s worked for them (and what hasn’t), tips for speaking in public spaces, and creative communication ideas for building connections. The evening will include space for practicing techniques with theatrical assistants.
