Find out what Yardscaping means to you, your environment, your time and the other ways you can have a positive impact on your yard and garden. Meet in Mather Auditorium to learn the basics of Yardscaping, an ornamental gardening strategy that minimizes or eliminates the use of pesticides and fertilizers, thereby reducing harmful downstream effects. Learn about choosing the right plant for the right place with plants that are well adapted to our area and have low pest profiles. We'll be looking at the Native Garden as well as identifying invasive species and exploring non-invasive alternatives. This program, led by University of Maine Extension Master Gardener volunteers Allan Amioka, Ginger Laurits and Jolene Staruch is part of the All Seasons Garden series brought to the Wells Reserve at Laudholm by York County Master Gardener Volunteers.
