Its been almost two months since our last wedding guests exchanged their I dos.
Each year, we're honored to be included when couples plan their Kennebunkport weddings. We continue to be surprised and delighted by the creativity our brides and grooms unleash to bring their visions to life at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm.
For our couples, with help from so many local vendors, everything comes together to create an enchanting and unique day. The grounds, buildings, and ambiance are transformed with each wedding. Thoughtful touches, traditions, and personal style are the palette for the final picture; the possibilities are endless.
We have a deep love for our Laudholm campus and its surrounding forests and fields. To have others share that love and embrace the Wells Reserve at Laudholm as their own is what we strive for every day.
For this holiday season of love and family, we wanted to share some images from a few weddings celebrated here this year in hopes that they inspire you the same way they inspire us.
What's a wedding without dancing? One creative couple chose to put their dance floor in the middle of our grassy courtyard. They danced the night away under a starry summer sky.
Lawn games are a favorite for couples marrying here. Our lawn is the perfect place for a serious bean bag throwdown!
Another couple served their guests the best of Maines fresh, local seafood with a raw bar fit for a king!
Fresh berries, luscious whipped cream and a bit of nostalgia made this petite strawberry shortcake the perfect single-serve indulgence.
Many brides choose the Wells Reserve at Laudholm to fulfill their wish of having a rustic, Maine barn wedding, transforming our grand old barn into a dance floor, dining room, or quiet place to reflect.
This couple chose to exchange vows at the top of the hill, with our favorite "long view" of a pastoral field and sparkling ocean behind them.
We love the story of a family who has been visiting the Wells Reserve at Laudholm since the bride was a young girl. Years ago, she and her sister were photographed under our beautiful copper beech tree… which served as the backdrop for her wedding vows this summer.
Love — however reflected, however celebrated — is the tie that binds these magical moments together.
We wish our happy couples happy holidays, happy New Year, and happy lives together. Thank you for beginning them at the Wells Reserve at Laudholm.
