Helping communities to protect water resources
Helping communities to protect water resources
What are the important water resources in your town? Who is involved with protecting them? What benefits and threats are most important?
We work with our partners to conserve land in our targeted watersheds, particularly lands along major waterways. We are also a
founding partner in the Mount Agamenticus to the Sea Conservation
Initiative, which protects a network of priority lands across a
landscape reaching from the Tatnic Hills in Wells to Gerrish
Island in Kittery. Our conservation programs extend to the Saco River watershed.
We launched our watershed summaries in 2006 with the Seacoast Watershed Information Manager (SWIM; taken offline in 2019). The following entries have been added and updated.
