Take a walk with the Reserve’s Natural Resource Specialist, Vanessa Beaulieu, to the Yankee Woodlot and learn about the American Chestnut trees that reside there. Vanessa will cover the history of this functionally extinct species, the science that is being done to restore it, and how the Wells Reserve is doing its part.

Please note: This walk will cover an estimated two miles round-trip with some tree roots to navigate over while walking through wooded and field habitat on relatively flat terrain.
