In this workshop you will learn how to make herbal skin salves that are used for various skin conditions such as sunburn, eczema, psoriasis, bee stings, chapped skin, rashes, poison ivy, etc. We will be using herbs that grow wild in southern Maine and also herbs grown at Big Tree Herb Farm in Lebanon, Maine.
You will receive instruction regarding how to make the skin salves, and will also go home with your choice of three Big Tree Herb Farm salves and one lip balm. Also included is an information booklet which contains many herbal recipes. In addition, we will be serving herbal teas and refreshments.
About the Presenter
Herbalist Gail Henderson is the co-owner of the Big Tree Herb Farm in Lebanon Maine. She grows over 35 varieties of both culinary and medicinal herbs. Gail has been studying Herbal Medicine for over 30 years and sells her herbs and herbal products at local farmers markets and shops. She also hosts herbal medicine classes in the Seacoast area on various topics besides this one, including Herbs to Build Immunity, Herbs for a Spring Detox, and Herbs for Women's Health Issues. Her mission is to share her knowledge of herbs and natural healing with others so that they may also be empowered to heal themselves with the remedies that the earth provides.
