Come along on this early spring walk to discover how Maine trees have survived the winter and how they are already preparing for leafing out and the reproductive activity of flowering. Tree species can still be identified using bark and buds at this time of year.
This program will be led by experienced Reserve docent, naturalist and nature writer Eileen Willard, who spent 15 years as a University of New Hampshire instructor in dendrology (study of trees) and in 2022 completed her Maine Master Naturalist certification. Please dress warmly to be outdoors for the duration of the program. Ages 12 and up.
