Exchanging expertise and experience with New Jersey in the wake of Superstorm Sandy.
The Yankee Woodlot is a 34-acre demonstration site where visitors enjoy a New England forest and learn how managed woodlands can promote both wildlife habitat and healthy trees.
Reserve scientists compared restored coastal habitats in 5 states to undisturbed, healthy, and well functioning sites within nearby estuarine reserves. Most restored sites remained in transition, but two were very similar to their paired sites.
